A warm welcome now
awaits you at the de Morgan family home, Ethie Castle. An ancient
sandstone fortress dating from the 14th Century, Ethie is reputed
to be Scotland's second oldest permanently inhabited castle.
It was immortalised by Sir Walter Scott as 'Knockwinnoch' in
the novel 'The Antiquary'. Ethie is now a haven of hospitality
and peace. Situated in Scotland's kitchen garden all produce
used at Ethie is of the freshest and highest standard. Who can
resist a famous Arbroath Smokie for breakfast?
