Each visitor is an individual guest in our home and each bedroom is unique
with a homely feel. One room has a superking bed, private bathroom and its
own sitting room with views over the garden; another is a cozy room
overlooking the courtyard with a 1920s art deco bathroom, we also have a
four poster bedroom with luxury en suite bath and shower room.
Make yourself at home in front of a roaring log fire on cooler evenings, in
one of our sitting rooms. The barrel vaulted Cardinal's Room has a secret
stairwell, wood panelling and a tiny door to Cardinal Beaton's ancient
chapel. The Television Room is informal with deep cushioned sofas. In
contrast the Georgian Drawing Room is elegant and hung with fine art. While
at the top of the Castle, reached by 3 of the 5 stone turnpikes is the Tapestry Room with glorious views over the surrounding countryside and
farmland.

The Tapestry Room The Tudor Kitchen
Breakfast and Dinner are home cooked meals imaginatively prepared from the
freshest ingredients and generally served in the Tudor Kitchen, where a fire burns in the massive inglenook fireplace, and the crackle of half tree
trunks burning can be heard. Larger parties dine in the Castle Dining Room
at the Great Table beneath the ornate plasterwork ceiling. This room can be
re-arranged to accommodate parties of up to 40, or the Great Table can be
set as a boardroom for conferences and meetings.
